Holi - 2006 ...500 IITians beaten up by 50 fisherman on besant nagar beach!
So apparently, junta was playing volleyball with a 2 fishermen kids in the water. When fishermen started playing amongst themselves, junta felt left out "wtf it's our ball?!" feelings. So insti junta abused them to come out. sensing danger..those 2 kids started swimming inside sea towards their colony at one end of coast. Insti Junta about 10-15 decided to follow to "teach them a lesson!" When they reached their colony...they saw about 50 men with sickles and boat oars in their hand..waiting!
Insti junta half naked and colored from holi ran with 50 men following them with oars! By them they reached back on beach...they caused a panic and the rest of junta about 300-400 started running towards main road! But Good number of people got in the way of swinging oars and a lot of people left their wallets, cell phones etc! Few were able to call dean of students who in turn called cops but not before 500 IITians were made to run half naked on bessys beach by 50 fishermen!
What a crazy day! If u saw anyone in insti with a bruised eye or cheek..u didn't ask what exactly had happened..everybody knew what had happened! :p
PS: dean arrived on the spot after half hour with an insti bus..bus had to fetch back all the bicycles back to insti which our running army had left behind!
